France Muise

Optometrist

“I learned it’s important to carve out time for myself and time to work on my company and not just be working at my company.”

France is an optometrist who runs her own practice and is the sole decision maker. She had been working for another clinic where she began to feel dismissed. Her pay was cut three times and her relations with the owners were not improving.

“I came to see that although I had given my all to this clinic I had hit a plateau and there was no more room for me to grow and there was no intention to provide me with any.”

Before finding LeadHERship, France’s situation was despairing. She needed guidance and needed someone to teach her how to work effectively.

“I lost almost all self confidence, I began to second guess myself and felt like something was wrong with me.”

Joining a program made by a woman for women was life changing as she realized she wasn’t the only person struggling with these problems. LeadHERship helped with France’s decision making and her self confidence slowly came back. After completing the program she felt more prepared to succeed in a working environment.

“I learned it’s important to carve out time for myself and time to work on my company and not just be working at my company.”

France was missing an important piece that her education didn’t give her. LeadHERship taught her to lead from the creative instead of the defensive. The one-on-one coaching sessions helped her work towards her goals and ultimately led her to make a huge career decision that resulted in her starting her own practice. She needed to take the leap from what was easy and go for what she truly wanted.

“Learning to go for what I wanted versus just avoiding what I didn't want was an epiphany for me, it impacted not only my professional life but also my personal life too and has been transformative.”
